Hello beautiful people,
If you follow along on Snapchat @nanseracissy, you know I have had an on and off relationship with the plank exercise but now it’s with great pleasure to let you know that me and the plank are in a great place lol.
At the beginning of the year, most people set resolutions, me on the other hand, I just set goals and my 2017 plank goals are 24 hours by 31st December, piece of cake isn’t it? Well, that’s only if I can do 30 minutes every week, still seems easy? Now, yes but in January it was torture for sure!
In case you don’t know about the plank, it’s a body weight exercise where you hold your body still in space by grounding your toes, palms and forearms for low plank. It’s a simple yet very effective exercise, I love it!
This exercise strengthens the whole body in one go, it covers the triceps, quadriceps, hamstrings, back and the core #KING. That’s why it is a key factor in my workout routines but why I do it everyday is because it gets easier the more you’re accustomed to it [Find comfort in pain, all pleasure’s the same]
When I started, I could only hold it for 10 seconds but now I go up to 7 minutes straight [thanks Miranda Kerr for setting the bar this high.] The results in general are amazing as expected but what I didn’t know is how light my body would feel, it’s like a feather and boy do I love it!
