Cucumber + carrots 

Hello beautiful people, as promised [if you watch my stories on snapchat ] today am finally sharing yet another smoothie recipe: the cucumber + carrot. This is usually my post workout smoothie on arm day  because it’s like my light at end of a dark tunnel and I LOVE the taste… savory over sweet but if you prefer having it before your workout, that’s fine too as long as you have it in moderation, you don’t want to workout on a full stomach. There are so many health and beauty benefits in this smoothie but I considered these in particular while crafting it

Chia seeds: They are packed with antioxidants making them a cheaper alternative to berries [score!] and calcium: my nails thank me everyday and are also a weight loss agent, am obsessed with these seeds honestly!
Turmeric: As you may know, most diseases are caused by gut inflammation and this super food among its many other health benefits is anti-inflammatory thus boosting the immune system. 
Lemon: Aside from being a great vitamin C source, hello glowing skin! Did you know that the liver makes more enzymes from lemon juice than any other food? I was as shocked! 
Ginger: This ancient traditional healer is my number one go to for soreness from vigorous exercises and let’s not ignore it’s anti-aging super powers 
Coconut milk: This is my second source for fat after avocado. Yes people, fat is good and much necessary in your eating plan as long as it’s natural fat! 
Cucumber: Cucumbers are 96% water and are a good source of vitamin k which is very necessary for strong bones
Carrots: Rich in vitamin C making them a must for the skin glow!

Recipe
1 carrot

1 cucumber 

1 lemon

1/2 glass of coconut milk

2 tablespoons of chia seeds

2 inch piece of ginger 

1-2 inch piece of turmeric [depending on how tangy you like it]

Santé!
