The Maroon dress

As you may have seen from my previous post, I can’t stop raving about the premiere of Queen of Katwe, it was an awesome evening and if it’s anything, I was really excited to dress up so here is a recap of my outfit. I went for a mid-dress because it was straight from movie premiere to the after party, we all love gowns but a wild after party wouldn’t do justice to a gown, am not the kind of person who would torture an elegant gown like that!  Instead, I went for a knee high maroon silk dress, I love everything about this dress, always something mysterious about the color maroon too, right? I like how strong yet subtle it can be. The most flattering detail about this dress was the front slit; a little skin never killed any body as long as you keep it classy! For the accessories, I kept most of it minimal so I could put more focus on the necklace, it was my master piece. I finished off the look with a pair of comfortable golden pointer pumps, I was leaning more towards comfort because it was really going to be a long night which it was and given the after party was outdoors, pumps were the right choice, there is nothing more discomforting like freezing toes! Let me know what you think of this look in the comment section.
