Hello beautiful people,

Today I will start by playing my “am only human” card which is allowed.  So I, like a lot of humans get cravings for junk my favorite being French fries and white kitkat and sometimes even a tusker malt, but you will rarely catch me having them unless it’s a weekend because then I allow myself to indulge a bit, I mean what is life if you don’t give in to temptation every once in a while?

Anyway that being said, I usually get these cravings when I don’t have my breakfast on time, enough fruit and vegetables for the day or take long periods between meals [more than 6 hours.] of course this happens to me every once in a while because sometimes I just want to stay in bed longer, emergency meeting comes up or life unexpected.

When I get these cravings, I don’t always give in, matter of fact, I have only given in twice during the week, other times it’s a Saturday or Sunday and it’s a well deserved indulgence but also I don’t just dismiss them when they come. I recognize them and feed them with healthy supplements.

Like if am craving for kitkat or on rare occasions white forest cake or ice cream, that usually means I need something sweet my go to is golden dry raisins and if the craving surfaces shortly after, that means I didn’t have enough sugar for the day, I source all my sugar from fresh fruit so I eat more sweet fruit, usually apples, mangoes and pineapples do the trick.

Days when am craving for fries are the days when I go long without having oil, in my life, this is very possible, I love raw food or plain boiled food [boring I know but I like what I like] anyway, when the French fries craving kicks in, then I know it’s time to reach for the coconut oil and have some fried food my favorite being stir fried vegetables or a protein salad with coconut oil and vinegar dressing.

Salt, I crave for salt so many times, it’s ridiculous! The lack of iron in my body is sometimes beyond me, anyway when this occurs, I usually go in for the raw mangoes, my teeth and these little green things have a love-hate relationship that dates way back to when I was about 7 years. Yeah that’s how long I’ve loved them and if I go a month without having them, this happens. Thank God I live in the tropics where you’re one smile away from your neighbor letting you pick one or two tiny mangoes from their tree.

Processed juice. Am not going to sit here and pretend like drinking water is so much fun, unless am thirsty, actually the only way I get myself to drink water is thinking about Miranda Kerr’s glowing skin, that does the trick. I don’t make juice at home, my lame excuse is lack of needed equipment, am going to fix that soon though. Anyway for every time I crave for processed juice, I eat a lot of sugarcanes, they’ve never failed me!

    Do you have any tips for juicing that is not messy or full of sugar?

      My best recommendation on that is to take the fruit as a whole because it works best that way. you can simply eat it or make smoothies plus its not messy at all that way:)
