I now do more yoga, rarely get a visit from anxiety and when I do, I lay out my mat and practice my yoga #quickfix so I figured, why not carry on this way in 2018? Yes at this point I have realized my resolution list isn’t exactly a resolution list as its partly already in practice but also I know that can’t be so bad as many of you don’t believe in resolutions anyway..

Happy New Year beautiful people, resolution list anyone? LOL
Everyday above ground is a blessing, so grateful we’ve made it this far. I wish for you peace, love and happiness in 2018.

So it’s that time of the new year right after reflecting on how last year was set up…

Personally, my resolution list this year is to procrastinate less, live a minimalist life, do more of what I love and gracefully let go of what isn’t meant for me.

Sometimes we do things that we don’t really enjoy all in search of happiness but it’s about time we realize happiness isn’t something we can find out there, it only comes from within. At some point this year, I looked deep within and this is what I had to ask self:
1. Do you really like all these things you do? Wear all the makeup, strain your ankles with high heels, have a huge line up of shoes and owning clothes you haven’t worn in 3 years?
2. Do you really enjoy being out every other weekend, drinking silly with people you barely know and hash tagging squad on social media, waking up with a massive hangover and spending the whole day in bed be behind schedule only to wake up and do the same thing over and over again?
3. What about holding onto situations/people/things that aren’t yours or whose role in your life has come to an end? Ps: we all know when something isn’t meant for us or when the time is up but because of what should have been, could’ve been we switch to denial mode but deep down we know!
Tbh, these three questions changed my perspective to life, maybe at some point in my life the answer was yes and that’s why I was the way I was but something changed, could be growing up, getting bored of ending up at the same point but this time the answer to all three questions was NO! That’s when I knew I had to break the cycle, In November, I got rid of half my closet, cleaned out my contact list and further reduced my night partying life. Less partying life resulted into less procrastination, a minimalist closet led to a more organized closet and letting go [not gracefully though] of situations/people/things took a heavy load off my chest, very scary in the beginning but felt better eventually.

Ps: resolutions are achievable when they’re simply a means to better your current existence rather than turn you into a whole new person all at once, more like a gradual process.

Do you have any goals you’ve set this year? If yes, how do you plan on achieving them? Let me know in the comment section and cheers to a the new year!
